SKYWARN SPOTTER TRAINING
From all start points move generally east on roads available to simulate following a storm track that is south west to north east or east. Maintain radio contact with net control with simulated situation reports. Continue until you reach interstate 49. Make sure that your APRS is on and transmitting, also, if you are using a cell phone to transmit APRS, make sure it is plugged into power so your phone does not go dead.
Missouri 43 in Southwest City, Mo.: Head east on Missouri 90 into Noel. From Noel, continue east on Missouri 90 to U.S. Interstate 49. Take I-49 south to the Arkansas 340 exit in Bella Vista. Turn east on Arkansas 340 and make your final transmission from Harp’s in Bella Vista (just east of the junction of U.S. Interstate 49 and Arkansas 340, 404 NE Town Center, Bella Vista.
Missouri 43 in Southwest City, Mo.: Find Honey Creek Road in and head southeast. Follow Honey Creek Road to Beaty Road or (Arkansas) Benton County Road 428. Head south on Beaty Road to Arkansas 72. Turn east and follow Arkansas 72 into Gravette and on to Bentonville. Make your final transmission from the parking lot of Oriental Express 2, 1402 Shane Lane, Bentonville.
Arkansas 43 in Maysville: Head east on Arkansas 72 through Gravette. Continue on Arkansas 72 to Arkansas 279. Follow Arkansas 279 until it crosses Arkansas 340. Turn east on Arkansas 340 and follow that to Harp’s in Bella Vista (just east of the junction of U.S. Interstate 49 and Arkansas 340 (404 NE Town Center, Bella Vista).
Arkansas 43 in Maysville: Head south on Arkansas 43 to Decatur. Turn east on Arkansas 102 in Decatur and continue through Centerton and into Bentonville. Make your final transmission from the parking lot of Oriental Express 2, 1402 Shane Lane, Bentonville.
Arkansas 43 in Maysville: Head south on Arkansas 43 to Coon’s Hollow Road, follow Coon’s Hollow Road east to Carlton Drive, which turns into Falling Springs Road. Follow Falling Springs Road into Decatur. Turn east on Arkansas 102 in Decatur and continue through Centerton and into Bentonville. Make your final transmission from the parking lot of Oriental Express 2, 1402 Shane Lane, Bentonville.
Cornerstone Baptist Church on Arkansas 43 north of Siloam Springs: Head south on Arkansas 43. Turn east on Arkansas 12. Follow Arkansas 12 into Gentry, through Springtown and Highfill. Continue on Arkansas 12 to the Wingate Hotel (across from the north entrance to Northwest Arkansas National Airport). Arkansas 59 in Siloam Springs: Head south on Arkansas 59 out of Siloam Springs and turn east on Washington County Road 244. Take Washington County Road 244 until it runs into Arkansas 16 and take Arkansas 16 east to the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Wedington Road (which is the same as Arkansas 16 in Fayetteville). Make your final transmission from the Walmart neighborhood Market, 3475 W. Black Forest Dr., Fayetteville.
Arkansas 59 in Siloam Springs: Head south on Arkansas 59 to Summers. Turn east on U.S. 62 and follow that through Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Farmington and into Fayetteville. Make your final transmission from the Walmart Super Center off MLK Jr. Blvd (which is the same as U.S. 62 in Fayetteville), 2875 MLK Jr. Blvd, Fayetteville.

Stay on Washington County Road 74 into Huntsville. North on Arkansas 23 to U.S. 412. Turn east on U.S. 412 to Walmart Super Center. Make your final transmission from Walmart Super Center, 157 Gary Hatfield Way, Huntsville.
Arkansas 45 in Fayetteville: Head east on Arkansas 45 through Goshen to U.S. 412. Turn east on U.S. 412 to Walmart Super Center. Make your final transmission from Walmart Super Center, 157 Gary Hatfield Way, Huntsville.
Arkansas 412 in Springdale: Head east on U.S. 412 through Hunstville and Marble. Turn north (left) on Arkansas 21. Follow Arkansas 21 to Berryville. Turn left on to U.S. 62 and follow it to the Walmart Super Center in Berryville. Make your final transmission from Walmart Super Center, 1000 W. Trimble Ave., Berryville.
Arkansas 264 in Springdale: Head east toward Beaver Lake on Arkansas 264. Turn right on to Hickory Creek Road. Follow the road until you get to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hickory Creek Park. Make your final transmission from Hickory Creek Park, 12800 Hickory Creek Road, Lowell.
Arkansas 12 in Rogers: Head east on Arkansas 12 to Arkansas 127. Turn left on to Arkansas 127 to the intersection of Arkansas 127 and 12. Head straight on Arkansas 12 to the junction of Arkansas 23 and 12. Turn north on Arkansas 23 and follow it into Eureka Springs. Turn left on to U.S. 62 and follow it to the Razorback Gift Shop and Tower in Eureka Springs. Make your final transmission from Razorback Gift Shop and Tower, 579 W. Van Buren, Eureka Springs.
U.S. 62 in Rogers: Head east on U.S. 62 to Indian Creek Road (about 1.4 miles after the junction of U.S. 62 and Arkansas/Missouri 37). Turn right on to Indian Creek Road and follow it Dam Site Road. Turn left on Dam Site Road. Follow Dam Site Road to Arkansas 187. Turn right on Dam Site Road and follow it to Beaver Dam. Make your final transmission from Beaver Dam Park or Beaver Dam Boat Ramp.
U.S. 62 in Rogers: Head east on U.S. 62 to Avoca. Turn east (right) on to Woods Lodge Road, follow Woods Lodge Road as it turns into Guyll Ridge Road. Turn east on to Coose Hollow Road/Benton County Road 74, which will turn into Posy Mountain Road. Follow Posy Mountain Road as it makes quite a few 90-degree turns to Arkansas 127. Turn right on to Arkansas 127 and follow it to Lost Bridge North Park. Make your final transmission from Lost Bridge North Park, 12485 Marina Road, Garfield.
Arkansas 72 in Bentonville: Head east on Arkansas 72 into Pea Ridge, Turn right (north) on to It’ll Do Road. Follow It’ll Do Road until it intersects with Arkansas 94. Turn east (right) on to Arkansas 94. Follow it to Hayden Road. Turn left (north) on to Hayden Road. This quickly becomes Missouri Highway KK. Follow Missouri Highway KK until it dead ends into Missouri 90. Turn east (right) on to Missouri 90. Turn east on Missouri 90 and follow it into Washburn, Mo. Make your final transmission from the Trojan PQ Mart, 112 Old Wire Road, Washburn, Mo.
Interstate 40 in Bella Vista: Head north on Interstate 40 to Missouri 90 in Jane. Turn east (left) on Missouri 90 and follow it to Missouri Highway E. Turn north (left) on Missouri Highway E and follow it until it runs into Missouri 76. Continue on Missouri 76 north. It will make several turns. Follow it to the Walmart Super Center in Cassville. Make your final transmission from Walmart Super Center, 1401 Old Exeter Road, Cassville, Mo.
